Zah-Hak is an Ancient Black dragon encountered by The Village Butchers while he was attempting to conduct a ritual in the village of Irci to close a Well of Souls which had opened in Ettinmere. The ritual was foiled by The Village Butchers in an incident known as The Massacre at Irci, much to Zah-Hak's displeasure and ire. They bargained with the Zah-Hak for survival by ensuring that they would close the Well of Souls that he was attempting to seal.
On 4-2518-9-6, a Drow from the town of Basinrot known as Maya informs the party to be wary of the fogged areas located high in Fate's End as these foggy swamps located in the mountain range are a sign that they are approaching Zah-Hak's lair.
