The Order Veracious

The Order Veracious is an ancient brotherhood, forged when the Templar Order was merely a dream. To be a member of this hallowed organisation is to dedicate oneself to the ideals that we once held dear, and may one day hold dear again.

On the decadence of the modern Templar Order much could be said. Magic now exists as a toy, a medium for the powerful of the world to enact their will upon the weak and defenseless. Where once we stood as protectors and paragons, now we are bullies and murderers.

History

Disbandment

As the Order Veracious & Arcane Divinity grew in scope, it quickly became evident that the original goal of the the Arcane Divinity had been eclipsed. There had for some time been much more to the Arcane Divinity's original goal, becoming more of a society than simply a group. In 517 of the 2nd Age the Templar Order was formally founded out of the Arcane Divinity. The ideals and goals of the old organisations carried across.

Present day activities

Although most people in Tala Rane believe the order to be confined to the history books, others have noticed activities that would line up with the order's ideals. The order is believed to be behind a number of attacks in the run up to the Templar elections. The first known attack was against Thoradin Clearsight and the rest of the The Orb Walkers, at a promotion ceremony. There have been lots of other suspicious deaths, none of which have been definitely linked to the order, but they happen to be those that are supporting Tredigar Hackshield and would be opposed to the Order Veracious's ideology. The most recent attack was lead by Severin, a study friend of Thoradin. They ambushed the The Orb Walkers as they made their way to speak with The Warsworn.
