Ghurrix is a notoriously shady bard that has remained, for unknown reasons, with The Orb Walkers since their initial appearance in Mel Shenshir. He has remained with the party to the present day.

Early Life

Almost nothing is known by the party about Ghurrix's place of birth, age, family, friends, prior accomplishments, occupation, affiliations or intentions. The Orb Walkers are aware that Ghurrix, at the point when he joined the party, knew more about their exploits around Amalur than most.

Time with the party

The Cult of Rakdos

Ghurrix assisted the party in rooting out the more violent sect of the Rakdos guild in Mel Shenshir. After liaising with the Izzet league and a very shadowy individual names Lazav, the party ties the use of obsidian orbs to the cult. They investigate the ramshackle shelters on the outskirts of the city, where Ghurrix finds and tortures a cultist for information on the heart of the cult. They are told of a drow called Darvisa with whom the party had had previous dealings, and learn that she took a group of cultists to Klurikon. The group head to Klurikon. Using a group of warsworn they meet there as a distraction, the group sneaks into the fortress where they believe Darvisa to be hiding. They battle her in an entrance to a Fae tomb beneath the fortress, eventually decaptitating her and keeping her head as proof of a job well done.

The House That Does Not Exist

Ghurrix continues to work with the party upon their return to Klurikon, as they are informed by the council of Rathir that their mission is not complete until the guilds are all brought in order. Lazav requests that the party find and remove Ashiok from his seat of power in House Dimir, such that Lazav can assume leadership and bring the rest of the guilds in Mel Shenshir in line. The party spends a lot of time attempting to pursue remaining cultists within the city, believing that the more violent sect of the Rakdos guild was being supported by Ashiok's sect of House Dimir. They question the proprietor of the arena and attempt to go after a man named Vincent who had purchased an inactive obsidian orb in the city.

Eventually the party comes into contact with another associate of Lazav named Tilrinel, who leads them down beneath the city to find the lair of Ashiok. The party battles a hydra after navigating the initial sewers, which is eventually slain at the cost of Tilrinel's life. The party meets a group of Kua Toa, who draw the image of a Morkoth named "8 leg" in the dirt when the party questions them. Ghurrix discovers the underside of the lake in which the hydra was waiting appears to have a second surface, and travels with the party through the next series of twisting tunnels. They encounter broken collections of architecture in several open caverns, eventually investigating an out of place schoolhouse. Ghurrix finds architecture he alone recognises, and reduces the structures to ashes to prevent anybody else from seeing them.

They reach the chamber housing Ashiok, who appears to be a Morkoth just as the Kua Toa had drawn. Thoradin, the party "wizard", attempts to banish Ashiok due to him being "evil". Ghurrix counters his pitiful attempt to banish the planeshifting entity, after which Thoradin attempts the same thing again to the same result. Thorading attempts to then fight the party, most of whom take refuge in the suspended water bubble that Ashiok was sitting in. Bob beats Thoradin into submission, and the party agrees to have Bob travel with Ashiok and to tell Lazav that Ashiok was dead in exchange for Tilrinel's life. The party is teleported by Ashiok to a cavern full of gold that preceded their intial entry to Ashiok's archicture exhibit. Thoradin unfortunately wakes up, an issue that is quickly remedied by Ghurrix. The party then return to the surface and fulfil the second part of the deal, by informing Lazav of Asiok's demise. One final audience with Ashiok grants Ghurrix Charon's Obol, as well as the knowledge that his innate magical gifts were given for a reason.
