The Belly of the Beast is a ship lent to The Orb Walkers to use while they conduct business in Tala Rane by R.


Patience class warp core

  • Absorbs latent magic in the area
  • Powers the ship, both magical propulsion and other magical facets
  • Stores power over time, can be drained to 0

Captain’s wheel and control pillars

Wheel controls ship direction as usual Pillars control the following:

  • Activate/Deactivate cannons
  • Unfurl/Furl sails
  • Drop/ Raise anchor
  • Activate/Deactivate magical propulsion

Justice class magical cannons (28, split 12-12-2-2)

  • Powered by Patience core, mechanism unclear
  • Range 600ft, 4d8 force damage. Double damage versus structures. Attacks are made with proficiency.

Quill

When used to write, the message cannot be altered or hidden in any way short of destroying the medium.

Imperial Ink

Jar refills slowly over time. Brilliant glossy purple ink.

Water tank

Purifies any water put in it.

Captain’s Quarters door

Hermetically sealed when closed (locked). When knocked on, creates a scrying orb by the desk that shows who is outside the door. Can only be unlocked from the inside, no lock on the outside.

Chest spice rack

Allows for a different chest to be “selected”. Chests are handprint-sealed to a certain user.
