The Story of The Watcher

This is to detail of The Story of The Watcher and their quest to eradicate the presence of "outer entities" which seek to do harm to others. The story, or as much of it as is present, is found in The Temple of The Watchers, beyond The Exolvuntur Monastary atop Driana's Tear and is placed on plaques upon 3 shrines.

The Tale of The Tree

(Found scratched on a worn plaque on the Watcher's Path) -

In the realm of Dreams

Lies that Most Evile Body

Of a Foe long dead.

He poisoned the Tree

And no more did It bear Fruit

The Stars fell silent.

The Watcher found Him

And cut Him down where He stood.

Bottling his blood.

He went to the Tree

And gave it Waters anew

And still it Blossoms.

The Tale of The Fear

(Found scratched on a worn plaque on the Watcher's Path) -

Darkness

Smothered the Light

Leaving no Hope for us.

We lay down, and prepared to die.

Gave up.

Bright Light

Burned the Darkness

Enemies fell like stones.

Thanks to him, we saw something new.

Their Fear.

The Tale of The Obliteration

(Found scratched on a worn plaque near the Exolvuntur

Monastery) -

The Obliterator doesn't laugh or wonder why

It doesn't fear and it doesn't die

All it does, all day long

Is make its poor victims cry.

The Watcher heard and the Watcher saw

The Obliterator shovel entire Worlds into its maw

He gathered his weapons and journeyed forth

To protect his Realm and its rule of Law.

They met in the Distant Sea of the Astral Plane

And a thousand Worlds were showered in red rain

As The Watcher hacked and hacked with His Blade

And plunged it into the Obliterator's brain.          

   

Even now, the waters there burn scarlet red

And the only smell is of the colossal dead

The Watcher did not stop to celebrate

For there were other things to kill instead!
