Little is known of Tilriel. He joined the party, now known as the Orb Walkers, in Mel Shenshir after the calamitous meteor shower that devastated the city. Tilrinel met the party in a tavern after being guided there by his contacts in the city. He went with them to find and punish those behind the attack on the city, eventually leading the party to a hydra. During the fight, the hydra unleashed a series of attacks that killed Tilrinel and, due to a spell he had cast, caused the hydra to die from the spells return damage. Tilrinel is a devout worshiper of "The Rising One", a God shrouded in mystery like Tilrinel. He believes that his god resurrected him as his mission was not finished and he was too important to die. Since then Tilrinel's attitude has changed somewhat, though he continues to work with the Orb Walkers. Despite his faith, he seems to have an odd fascination with a few other gods, such as Erebos.

Early Life

Not much is known about Tilrinel's childhood or early years, he hasn't been asked about his history nor is very talktaive about his past. The little that is known comes from assumptions based on observing his behaviour or from the small tidbits dropped during conversation. Tilrinel prays with a regularity and ferverance that indicates a long-standing and early faith in his god. Nothing is known about his parents, though given his youth and hardness it is thought that his parents were involved in the darkness of his past.

Time with the Party

Mel Shenshir

Tilrinel initially joine dwith the party intially to find those responsible for the recent desolation of Mel Shenshir. Their investigation, such as it was, lead them to a series of underground caverns where they fought a hydra. During the hydra attacked Tilrinel mercilessly with its 22 heads, slaying him. However thanks to his Armor of Agathis, the hydras attacks caused it to take return damage, slaying it. Tilrinel was ressurcted, he believes thanks to his god, which not only deepend his faith in his god but also changed his outlook on life.

Tala Rane

Upon returning to Tala Rane, it soon became obvious that the nearby Drow population in Glendara had leadership problems tied to the well of souls. The Drow leader had seemingly gone mad and wished to alter the well of souls. The party pursued Arkon to a cavern containing a large well of souls where they fought alongside a Cynokian wraith. Not long after exiting the well, Tilrinel experienced another change at the hands of his god. His sword, Tilrinel's Vengeance, had altered its form. Instead of a jet black blade with ripples in the metal and an onyx on the pommel, the sword now had a deeply red ruby afixed to the pommel which glowed and pulsed unnaturally.

The party retured to a different Tala Rane. With the election looming, tensions in the city were rising. Tilrinel was apathetic to the process until the party began getting harrassed by the Order of Veracious openly in the streets during the day. The guerrilla tactics continued which grated on Tilrinel as it was no longer safe for him or anyway to travel alone. The Order of Veracious' switched tactics and attacked Ghurrix and Valmet while they were out alone shopping, kidnapping both. To make matters worse, there were no real clues or witnesses to the attack. This was the final straw for Tilrinel as they attacked the two members he felt closest to at the time. When Valmet was found, Tilrinel was initially grateful but began growing frustrated at not finding Ghurrix. The party eventually traced Ghurrix to the centre of the city which was preparing for New Years celebrations. Ghurrix had turned transformed into a demon and offered Tilrinel a chance to live but swore to kill any who stood in his way. The revelation shocked Tilrinel. The companion he thought he understood now threatened to kill him. In the ensuing fight, Tilrinel killed Ghurrix's human form and Thoradin finished of his demon form. The explosion of energy that Ghurrix released before the fight had wrought destruction upon the city, ending many lives prematurely, shocking Tilrinel a second time.

While the city began recovering the party went to attack the suspected Order of Veracious camp in the Ring Village. After some tunneling and interactions with Lizardfolk, the party managed to survive a fight with Templars and keep one called Ayl alive. Tilrinel, using a spell of Bob's, invaded the dreams of Ayl to find out the path to the Order's Stronghold. He masqueraded as Brakk Sharpblade, convincing Ayl that he had escaped from the Templar's and needed help finding his way back to the stronghold. The dream ended with Tilrinel and Ayl being dissovled by the acid breath of an Ancient, giagntic Green Dragon. When the party follwoed the route Tilrinel had discovered, they were confronted by the same Green Dragon who offered them safe passage if they destroyed a green crystal in the bottom levels of the tower.
