The journey to Snowheir was uneventful with the final portion of the journey placing them in a local tavern where they were to meet their guide up the mountain. Debating about the nature of their guide they notice an individual making their way towards the two of them. Garbed in a teal cape lined with gold, an ornate sheath containing a fancy longsword and vines on their arm that seem to twist and contort, the individual introduces themselves as Ezra, the guide that would take Rhogar and Valmet up the Mountain. The journey begins the next day and the 3 begin to make their way up the mountain, Ezra darting nimbly over the rocks while the two pilgrims try their best to keep up with them. A key message rang from Ezra's forewarning, "Play it safe, play it clean. Remember that the life of the pilgrim is more valuable than the pilgrimage itself."

Weeks pass as the 3 continue up the mountain. A day away from the Destination, Ezra informs them that the head of the monastery is a fate weaver who finds volunteers to be guided by the monastery using their unique ability. The threat of dragons increases the closer Rhogar and the others get to the monastery, dragons who the god of dragons may be watching over. There is a legend regarding an individual named Gaugith Dragon-Tamer who wrestled a wyrmling, tamed it and earnt their place among the legends. Ezra warned that the one thing we would need to watch out for is a Red Dragon named Glaurong.

Arriving at the monastery they are greeted by a peaceful atmosphere disturbed only by the arguing of 2 individuals; Halfdine who deals the social and internal affairs, and Umer who deals with the protection of the monastery from the outside threats. The argument being over the distribution of budget towards either the renovation of the external pilgrimage paths or the renovation of the internal areas for the individuals who have a more permanent residence in the Monastery. After speaking with  Vhen and learning that their next journey is along The Path of the Watcher and with preparations completed overnight, the 3 set off along the path.

Rhogar is a Paladin who was contracted by Samuel Truestone to seek out The Orb Walkers in the Underdark and deliver a message to them. The Orb Walkers were found whilst they were attempting to reason with the White Dragon Archeon on a bridge leading out of an underground keep. He has remained with the party since this point.

Full Name: Rhogar Demirev
Party: The Orb Walkers
Class and Subclass Info: Paladin (Oath of The Watchers)
Status: Alive
Race: Dragonborn (White)
Date of Birth (Age): 4-2484-7-11 (32)

Early Life

Rhogar Demirev was born into the Demirev household in Rathir the son of a fairly well off businessman. His early life was filled with comfort and Rhogar enjoyed more of the finer things of life alongside an education that was considered above average for the standards at the time. As his life progressed and he became of appropriate age a position within his father's company had already been secured ensuring he would walk into a position which would keep his life of comfort available for the rest of his life.

This wasn't enough for him however and he quickly found it boring, lacking any excitement and reliving the same boring day to day routine until he decided that enough was enough. Bringing some of his friends together they decided it would be a good time to travel and experience the rest of the world, they were in their prime after all and working the daily routine was far too sensible an idea for young people to follow. And so one morning they set off, once all the planning and saving had been done to ensure travel in comfort for extended periods, and the journeys of the raucous group began without so much as a hint of trouble or problem to be experienced. This would not last for long though, travelling with that much gold and wealth is sure to attract some unwanted attention. So it was that after a few months of travel they were sprung upon in the dead of night while camping between Gorhart and Odarth by a group of Bandits. Most were captured and those that tried to flee were mercilessly cut down while the others watched in a similar manner to hunting for sport. Their heads were covered and they were brought back to the Bandit camp.

After the events of the bandit kidnapping, the death of his family and subsequent escape from captivity the thought of providing protection those who are unable to protect themselves as a form of repentance for his ineptitude and selfish desire began to appeal to him. The basic training was...

The Orb Walkers

Akordia and The Well of Souls

The Order Veracious

The return to Tala Rane with Thoradin after the sudden urgency to close the Well of Souls which Akordia was planning on using it was found that a serious change had taken place. With the Election approaching it's peak the propaganda being distributed increased in quantity and, importantly, introduced a rather scathing review of Thoradin, and his superior Tredigar Hackshield, about their handling of certain things including the massacre at Irci which was only recently brought to the attention of the general public. This reached a peak during Thoradin's Octienne promotion ceremony where a terrorist attack with aim of assassinating Thoradin was foiled, though not without some civilian casualties. Information received after a debriefing by Tredigar and the Prefect Maximus himself put a name to the group who cause the attack, The Order Veracious.

With a name given the Orb Walkers set about finding information on The Order by scouring the Archives in the Templar Library. Shortly after the first few days of information accrual the party wandered into a small market square, barren of people save a few individuals blocking the exit. Revealing themselves to be associated with The Order a battle ensued leading to the death of all but 1 of the individuals who was taken back for questioning.

The Cleansing of Irci's Remains

An excerpt from a short story about the travels of Rhogar and Ezra while during the year long priestly duties Valmet was required to do as payment for the help that their god sent in response to the the Party's call for aid.

Silence surrounded them, piercing their ears as the vibrant day noises suddenly ceased. The trek had been long, journeying from the Templar Capital of Tala Rane, through Ghospeak and past Ettinmere, to the place of regret. The village in which atrocities were carried out, the scars for which Thoradin and Bob had carried for many years. The Village of Irci.

As the hill began to plateau Ezra and Rhogar were met with a sight of a ghost town, buildings seemingly intact but lifeless and barren. Even from this distance they could see the crags and ragged midways weaving between the houses, bumpy with what could only be assumed to be the remnants of the people who lived here. The weight of their task seemingly sinks into them, the removal of that which is considered “Unearthly” from the site of this massacre, and so with heavy hearts they began their descent, the cold air of mid-winter stinging their nostrils.

“The tales were true. There’s nothing left.” Said Ezra as the deafening silence grew around them.

“It was left by those who came before you and me Ezra. It was a bloodbath, no fighting back, no resistance, just a massacre. Not even the children were spared.” Replied Rhogar, peering through some of the broken windows to the seemingly untouched interiors of the small houses.

They descended through the village vigilant for any threat which may jump out at them from the alleyways, though glances through the broken glass and open doorways provided no indication of any activity. The crags and ragged midways, revealing themselves to be femurs, spines and skulls from the long dead villagers, cracked under the weight of Rhogar’s armour and echoed around them. At first glance it could be assumed that there was nothing else here other than themselves, but they could not shake the feeling of something peering deep into them.

“You feel that too don’t you Rhogar?”

“I do but can’t seem to find anything indicating there’s anything else here. The grass remains untouched yet dry.”

The sun begins to set lazily over the silent hill as the two duty bound individuals continue to discuss the possibilities that have been presented to them. They peel off from the village centre in favour of watching the Well for the night to observe the patterns of the enemies they now hunt. The sun descends behind the final hillside and the village drops into darkness, their breath turning to vapour with every exhale.
