Arrival at Klurikon

After being sent to Klurikon by Lazav. The Orb Walkers were met at the gates of the ruined city by a heavily armoured squadron. They identified themselves as a group of Warsworn sent by Lazav to help the party kill Darvissa. Varrick - the leader of this warband - told them to visit the quartermaster, Gerburgh, to see if there were any last minute preparations they could assist with to best prepare them for the coming battle.

Gerburgh told them that the Warsworn previously used an armory set up in one of the abandoned buildings further into the city, but Darvissa's demons had pushed them back. However, they had left a hidden cache of weapons and components behind - which included an ingot that emitted a dim light and was warm to the touch . The Quartermaster claimed this was Star Metal, a material harvested from the core of asteroid impacts. He said that if the Orb Walkers could retrieve this ingot that he would make it into a weapon or piece of armour of their choosing.

While the party searched the ruined city looking for the old cache, they encountered a group of demons patrolling the streets. Deciding to sneak past, they eventually found the correct building, the top floor of which contained a pool of liquid with the glowing ingot in the middle. As the party approached the pool, a Demon of unknown origin apparated into the room and a fierce battle begun. Upon defeating the demon, the party retrieved the ingot and returned to Gerburgh - who then made it into a Rapier for Fionn at the consensus of the party.

The result of this endeavour was a rapier with a fine snake engraving on the blade. It was named Acanthophis by the person who engraved it, Riffok.

Defeating Darvissa

After consulting with Varrick and the Warsworn, the Orb Walkers agreed to take part in a two-pronged attack - the Warsworn forces would besiege the Royal keep of Klurikon where Darvissa was holed up surrounded by Demons, while the party would sneak in via a tunnel system in the western part of the city.

After eliminating some lesser Demons, the party was able to make their way down into the depths of the crypt beneath the keep where they found their quarry - Darvissa, ally of Yestris and betrayer of the Drow.

After a gruelling battle in which Darvissa displayed incredible magical prowess, the party was able to defeat her and behead her corpse to return it to Akordia as proof she was dead. After pocketing the Obsidian Orb she had been carrying on her person, they proceeded to examine the rest of the chamber and found a pair of sarcophagi. Upon opening them,

The plan was a two pronged attack , The warsworn would besiege the keep and take out the demons whilst the Orb Walkers would infiltrate the keep via a tunnel system in the western part of the city.

after dispatching some lesser demon interference the party made their way down into the depths where they were met by a drow only familiar to Thoradin, Darvissa.

After a gruelling battle they beheaded Davissa less she be brought back to life and claimed the Obsidian orb she had on her being. Then they fully examined the chamber they found themselves in. At the end there were 2 tombs in a room surrounded by murals. When the tombs were opened the saw the bodies of Fae long preserved. The paintings seeming to depict House of vengeance from the Court of winter. What interest did Darvissa have in them? Did she plan to use the orb here? They were left with many questions but Fionn with the most troubling, How does this Rapier made just yesterday somehow have a link with the armor and dagger found in an ancient Fae tomb ?

Libraries and Leaving

Exiting the fort the party were greeted with sights of the Warsworn licking their wounds and tending to their dead but the lack of Demons told of the Warsworn's victory. Regrouping with Varrick and Gerburgh confirmed this but when they asked about Riffok they were told that he had fled in the middle of the night before the attack. Apparently he was a quiet man but constantly talked to the Fateweaver who travelled with this band of warsworn.

Ethis the fateweaver read the party's fates , A first for many of them. He then explained how Riffok would get a reading almost every night: sun, moon and devil.

Varrick said that they would take a couple of days to pack up and that the Orb walkers were free to explore the ruins in this time.

Thoradin had a premonition about a location that was circled by ravens. After a couple of hours of searching the party came across a small building with a single room, after pressing the stonework on the wall the floor descended and opened up into rows and rows of unending bookshelves further than the eye could see. There were all matter of books down here; Cookbooks for monsters, Theories about the cycles and even a Scroll of Planeshift, but as they searched they lost track of where they were and so seemed doomed to walk the halls of the library forever. That was until a familiar face showed themselves. Only Thoradin had known of Solomon , a previous member of the Orb Walkers.

He told them that he was in the library looking for answers and that the party were not asking worthy questions. He offered to lead the party out since they would be lost forever if they didn't take his offer.

After this they explored other buildings finding a Throne made of Adamantite and a mural of what seems to be some sort of PAtron long forgotten and unidentified by the party. Thoradin also came across the writings of a being only known as Welda who was doing magical experimentation and he came away with a modification of the light spell "Flash" and  one for Dimension Door called "Dimension Pull".

The next morning The warsworn and the party Left klurikon to head back to Mel Shenshir.
